From Rage to Rest: Letting God Be God

This is what popped up as soon as I opened the internet today...

I do not own rights to these images or articles.

“6 gaslighting phrases people say to manipulate you.”
“6 signs you were raised by a narcissist.”

And honestly? It made me pause. It’s like the world is teaching people how to stay in a cycle of pity and pain.

Yes, there are real issues. Evil is real. Manipulation is real. Some of us have lived through stuff that left deep scars.

But if we stay stuck in that place, constantly naming the problem without ever reaching higher—we miss the freedom Jesus died to give us.

I’ve been through betrayal. Deep hurt. False accusations.
I’ve had seasons where I wanted to lash out, make people pay, prove my worth. And I won’t lie—sometimes I did.

But God’s taught me something along the way:

He handles people way better than I ever could.

This life? It’s not about revenge or being right.
It’s about trust. It’s about walking out my purpose, knowing that even the messes are working together for something bigger than me.

Now when I get triggered, when I feel that urge to defend myself or fight back, I ask:

“Is this the will of my Father?”

Most of the time, it’s a no.
He doesn’t need me to keep score. He needs me to keep building.

And the truth is—He sees it all.
He sees the dark motives, the shady actions, the gossip, the silence.
And He says: “I’ve got this. Just keep going.”

So that’s what I’m doing.
Naming the hurt without staying bitter.
Choosing grace without being naïve.
Letting the Holy Spirit do the heavy lifting.

Because at the end of the day, I want a life that lasts.
Not one that crumbles every time the world throws another lie at me.

So yeah—this life isn’t perfect.
But I’m not doing it alone.

Jesus is better. His way is higher.
And I’m walking in that freedom.
